Bee Icons – Useful Utility to Change XP Icons
Let me start of by asking you a simple question: Do you like the icons that you Windows XP operating system uses? If you answered “Yes” to that question, then it means you are happy with how things and you shouldn’t be reading this – try a reading the latest software news instead. If you answered “No”, then you are surely looking to change things a bit.
So I present to you the ArcticLine Software-developed application Bee Icons. Getting this application off the web and onto your computer will only take a moment since it weighs in at a mere 2.6MB. Even on a less than spectacular internet connection, it can’t take long for a 2.6MB download to complete, now can it?
Installing Bee Icons takes little time as well. It is a simple process that goes along smoothly and rapidly. Speaking of installing Bee Icons, it must be said that the application provides support for the following Windows versions: Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP.
After you download and install Bee Icons, the fist time you run the application you are asked to select your operating system. After you get past the nag screen, you are presented with a nice, easy to use interface that allows you to change all system icons. The icon changing options are grouped in several categories: Desktop, Start Menu, Drives, Folders, Files, and Others.
Here’s a tip: the quickest way to change all system icons is to open an icon theme. To open an icon theme simply click the icon that looks like a folder from the far left hand side.
Please note that you can use Bee Icons free of charge only for a trial period of 30 days.
